Job Requirements:

1. Possess a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school (J.D.)
2. Admitted to the Bar in New York

4. Individual should have strong legal research and organizational skills
* E3 }2 m. s8 D  k% n) Y5. Can speak both English and Chinese; and possess excellent written and verbal skills

" X2 E& O9 k2 ]9 F/ J. hThe New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:

1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
6 v' g" l. ]! T0 M" M: q# S3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
* L( ?/ D2 _1 L5 ~$ s' d& k' x4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
  z$ w1 H  y- ~9 V- W0 x5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
; g1 I1 D: \* \6 D) v* X0 i8 E: h( T. W6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
