background-color: initial; color: rgb(126, 126, 126); text-decoration-line: none; border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(126, 126, 126); transition: color 0.3s linear, border 0.3s linear;">南加州爱迪生电力公司的员工们，齐聚紧急运行中心（emergency operation center）参加地震演习，他们趴在附近的桌子下面，用手护住头部，保持静止。该紧急运行中心是爱迪生公司专门在自然灾害如地震、野火来临时的调控中心。「南加州地质服务」高级地质专家Brain Olson介绍，南加州在未来几十年内发生大地震的可能性非常高。一般来说，小地震更频繁，大地震不易发生，但是民众要保持警惕。他说，5级以上的地震通常具有破坏性，距离震中越近，震源深地越浅，破坏性就越大。地震来临时，除了蹲下、掩护、抓牢基本要领，身处不同地区要采取不同的应对方案。若在高楼中，要远离窗户，躲在遮蔽物下，一手抓住遮蔽物，一手护住头部。若没有遮蔽物，可以蹲在墙边，用手护住头部和颈部;
